I just love that you've got Envy depraved and terrible enough to ... well, do stuff like that, in order to hurt Ed and Al. That's how I tend to view him, and I love getting the chance to read him like that.
And the Elrics -- just ... ow.
Obvious enough that this is the sort of thing that would really mess both of this up -- and, like tavella was saying, Al way more than Ed.
And it might be silly for me to say, but I like how Ed seems to know that, and how he never goes out of big brother mode. I mean, it's Ed, so ... ugh, why would he? But just talking about how earlier on in the fic, he's having to tell Al "No, stop, don't want this," and then after they've escaped, it immediately feels like he's back to trying to protect and take care of Al.
(Not that I'd expect any different. But yeah.)
Really, really glad that you decided to do more on this fic. I was hoping you would. :D
