I was going to say that Ed is more of a live-in-the-moment kinda guy. It was horrible while it was happening, but now it's over, and Al is obviously hurting more than he is, and he's not the type to hold grudges.
Then I realized this is totally not true, and Ed holds grudges like anything. ^^; But not towards Al. He and Al have that unconditional forgiveness thing going on. It's like Al got a taste of it too.
