Okay, did this make the rounds already once and I'm oblivious?

1) I didn't know D.C. Simpson (of Ozy and Millie fame) did music.

2) I didn't know he was an FMA fan.

3) I definitely didn't realize that he'd written a song dedicated to FMA.

From his page:
12. [SND] Still Nina (4.2M): The first song I wrote in 2005. Like "London," it's about a fictional character, and you'll either know the reference or you won't, but it's not a requirement; it's just a song about losing someone you love and not being able to stop it. Lyrics.

That just makes me squeal with fangirlish delight, because really, what are the odds of that? And of course, for everyone who understands the reference, it's doubly meaningful.

The lyrics are pretty depressing even if you don't get the FMA reference, anyway.

Didn't I pass you that song a while ago? Love it.

His name tells me nothing though. No idea who he is. >.>

You did. But if you passed me the exposition along with it, I missed it. :)

DC Simpson is better known as the creator of Ozy & Millie, (http://www.ozyandmillie.net/) a fairly popular webcomic that attempts to combine the elements of Calvin & Hobbes and Doonesbury.

Since it's a quiet song, I couldn't hear the lyrics clearly for a while, I just got the sense of sadness. Then I really listened closely, and OMG.

Heyyy, so there *were* lyrics to that thing! omfg!
I loved Ozy and Millie. But I never knew the guy had an LJ until I accidentally stumbled upon it, and the first thing I saw was an entry with a download to "Still Nina", and I promptly fangirl-squee'd. XD I have it on my MP3 player and listen to it constantly... gives me the shivers every time.
