Fic rec (Yami no Matsuei)

And I'm entirely serious.

When I said best fanfic, I'm referring specifically to the quality of being a fanfic, as an creative endeavor, not to its objective enjoyability as a piece of entertainment (although you still might enjoy it even if you aren't a YnM fan.) What I mean is that of all the things that we expect and hope for from a good fanfic, this fic accomplishes them all.
