[TRC] Ill Luck part II - The Third Thing (Epilogue)

I did want Yuui to find someone to love; it would seem too sad for him to be alone forever. But I simply have no interest in the SHG side-pairing of Yuui and Syaoron, and having him meet an alternate Kurogane just seemed wrong -- as though it would be saying Yuui and Fai were interchangeable. Once I hit on the idea of pairing Yuui and Tomoyo together, it really grew on me -- despite the fact that they never so much as appear in the same world together in the canon!

It's funny how whenever I develop a het ship, it's one of these bizarre, completely noncanon side-pairings. In FMA, it was Ed and Scieszka -- at least they were the same age, on the same side, and actually met in the canon! I don't usually ship Tomoyo with anyone -- apart from Sakura, she never really showed interest in someone else, and she always seemed to be a character who was happy even if not paired off with a soulmate. And for the most part, I like that; I like her as an example of a strong character who doesn't need to be 'with' someone to be a complete person. Still -- I thought that in at least ONE side-timestream, she ought to score a gorgeous, brilliant man who adores her. :) Lucky Tomoyo! Lucky Yuui! I can't say which I'm more jealous of! Yuui/Tomoyo 4eva!

Author's Notes: This storyline will be continued in a new fic, covering Fai and Kurogane's return to Nihon from their travels, as well as Fai and Yuui's reunion. I decided to split it into its own story because it didn't really match the pace or tone of this one (which was mostly about Tomoyo and Yuui.)
