Rrrgh, I can't stand it any more. I'll start tracking people down and biting onto their legs if I have to, but I thought I'd put this out first.

I want to learn how to edit music videos. I refuse to believe that it's some mysterious ability that you're just born with. Everybody has to have learned how to do it sometime, right? Which means in theory, I can too.

If anyone out there reading this LJ is an AMV maker, or know one that they can easily blackmail, please help! Point me towards a website that's "Making music videos for dummies" if you don't want to go to all the trouble of explaining to me, in words of one syllable because I'm dumb, how it's done. How do I get hold of raws? What software do I need? Is it available shareware, or will I have to shell out? I'm not unwilling!

I solemnly swear to use this awesome power only for good. I won't even look at Evanescence or Linkin Park.

[edit] Now very very happy. I got me an .avi chopping program, and that was the one thing I really, really needed. The rest of it is just wasting hundreds of hours trying to figure stuff up. Oh, and getting hold of the raws. Does anybody have the raws who wants to do an anime swap? I have lots of different series that I can offer in return. *hopeful*

Also, for research purposes -- does anybody know the 'Xpark' video? I really, *really* want to do a similar one for FMA. For research purposes, I checked the song to see how many times the "Oh my God, they killed Kenny!" line was repeated, to see if I could come up with an independant character death from FMA for each line. Guess what? I can, and with room to spare. XD; Counting the multiple homunculi deaths alone....

I confess, I just want Gluttony for the "Lunchie-munchie?" line. And the image of Ed yelling at at Greed to get his bitch ass back in the kitchen and make him some pie is also appealing.
