So yeah. There's that queue *points* and while I've made the faintest of inroads, I'm still doing my damnedest to avoid adding new fics to it. So when I came up with thiscute fluffy utterly gen Halloween ficbunny, I can't add it. I'll have to put it up for adoption instead.
A total ripoff of the CLAMP School Detectives story:
Fic is gen and gunbu-centric. The military me report that there is a ghost that haunts the armory at night! At a certain time of night, the lights suddenly go dark, and a spooky apparation appears that drives everyone away.
Roy scoffs at the supersitious nonsense of the lower ranks, but the evidence mounts up. However, he correctly identifies the light and sound that accompany the appearance of the "ghost" as being an alchemical charge... which means that this is a deliberate hoax.
Roy is intrigued. What possible reason could someone have to want to clear the armory area? Is somebody stealing weaponry? Clandestine late-night meetings for espionage purposes? Some scandal? Roy hides himself in the armory that night to watch for the appearance of this haunting spectre.
The midnight hour appears, the lights go out, and... dun dun dun! It's none other than Al. As Roy watches, Al pulls out a box of kittens from a hiding place. He's been keeping them in the armory, and driving everyone away at night so he can feed and play with them in peace.
Of course, now that the ending has been thoroughly spoiled for you... :)
