Well, that hasn't happened YET. The anime and manga storylines have diverged, but the major events stay the same and I consider that fairly major.

And I'd have thought you guys would be squeeing at the potential angst. Roy does have a working conscience you know. When he finds out the truth, its going to make the Winry's parents angst look like a walk in the park.

No, I don't think that'll happen in the anime. There's not so many episodes left and I don't see Roy killing her very likely at the current point in the anime. Hell, they were all having dinner together.

Also, I think that the anime and manga are really different now. I mean, the homonuculi are created differently, Wrath and Sloth are different, and there's the Al being able to transmute without a circle.

And as for manga!Roy, I don't know how bad he'll feel. He acted completely justified in flashfrying her so badly they needed dental records. In Ishbar, Roy was ordered to murder the Rockbells. Here, he did it of his own free will.

Well, she was convicted of murdering his best friend whose death he already felt bad over not preventing, and she was illegally leaving a prison--you've also got to remember that manga Roy knows nothing about what happened in the abandoned building near the prison, except that Armstrong, the boys, Ross and Hughes were somehow involved. Factor in Barry the Chopper, who Roy must know is evil and yeah, you can see why he did it, and yes he was wrong, but from his point of view at the time, he was right.

Okay, you've got a point. Roy would feel bad when he finds out about it, but not at the moment. But it still doesn't excuse him from shaking Ed around like that.

Roy thinks Ed knows something about Hughes death that he's not telling (which is true in a way) and he's just killed someone and no matter how in control he seems, I really don't think he's okay with killing a colleague, and that's got to factor in to. I'm not trying to justify him, but point out that the way he's acting is in character-- anime Roy, in the same circumstances would react the same way. In fact, he was pretty cruel to Ed after they found Nina's remains after Scar got through with her, you many recall.

Yeah, I think I do too. But there are aspects about the manga that I like too -- the melon joke for example.

Ummm, the poster was in Newtype Japan's July issue. They had some copies at the convention and my friend bugged someone until they gave it to her!
